Skuld enhances drive for zero carbon shipping 150 150 Haggie Partners

Skuld, a world-leading marine insurance provider, today announces its participation as mission partner in a global initiative to decarbonize the maritime industry. Skuld has joined the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Center (MMMC) for Zero Carbon Shipping as part of the insurer’s stated intention to protect ocean industries.

The center, based in Copenhagen but operating globally, was founded in 2020 and comprises corporate partners across multiple industries all sharing the vision of carbon-zero operations in their commitment to collaborative climate action.

Ståle Hansen, Skuld president and CEO said: “Sustainability is an essential part of Skuld’s strategy, culture and identity. As a membership organisation we are frequently contacted for advice on decarbonisation and this partnership with MMMC will further support and promote our common goal of securing and providing tomorrow’s zero carbon shipping solutions.

“The zero carbon center is a world-leading initiative supported by some of the biggest names in the marine sector, and we are delighted to be able to support it.”

“We are happy to welcome Skuld to our group of mission partners. The mission partnership model is offered to companies and organisations across the shipping value chain that share our ambition of a decarbonized maritime industry and would like to be closely connected to the center’s work through a formalized network and information flow”, says Tanja Dalgaard.
