In 2013, industry veterans Rupert Swallow and Grahame Chilton launched Capsicum Re – a full service, international reinsurance broker that is successfully challenging its established competition by putting relationships first and offering customers a real alternative. In 2014 Haggie Partners was appointed to create a profile for the business but our remit has grown as the business has expanded to over 100 employees across three continents. We have implemented a communications strategy that ensures Capsicum Re’s voice is heard. We focus on providing strategic counsel and opportunities that demonstrate its breath of expertise and disruptive approach in the reinsurance broking world.

The campaign

We worked with senior management to create key messages and devise a communications plan that publicised its specialist capabilities and offering as a modern independent broker. Its unique business structure and focus on relationships has attracted market leading talent; promoting this technical expertise is a cornerstone of the PR strategy.

Through a combination of press releases, awards, by-lined articles, contributed comments, profile interviews and highlighting Capsicum Re’s presence at market events, we have helped build and grow Capsicum Re’s brand in the insurance industry.

Capsicum Re has grown rapidly so we have also implemented an internal communications strategy to ensure everyone understands the ambitions, achievements and developments within each division.
