Lions Gate Underwriting, (“Lions Gate”), a specialist MGA, today announced the launch of a new Environmental Insurance product as part of its coverage offering. The program will be underwritten by Great American Insurance Group, which backs a number of Lions Gate products, and will be managed by Rod Spurrell, Managing Director, Toronto Branch at Lions Gate.
The Program will focus on Contracting Services and the pollution conditions resulting from them. The wording includes Errors and Omissions arising from associated Professional Services, which traditionally required a separate policy. Coverage can be offered on either an Occurrence or Claims Made basis. This program will be available for Premises and Operations across Canada and the United States. Spurrell previously led the Environmental Program at a large Canadian insurance company prior to joining the Lions Gate Toronto team.
