Insurance Advisory Partners, the boutique investment bank focussed exclusively on insurance, insurance services and the insurtech industry, today announces the appointment of industry veteran Clive Buesnel as Managing Partner International, effective mid-October. He will be based in London and report to co-founders Tony Ursano and David Kimmel. 7th
Buesnel joins following a decorated career spanning more than three decades in operational and strategic senior leadership roles in the UK and global insurance markets. He will work closely with fellow IAP Partner Bhaven Pathak to drive and execute Insurance Advisory Partners’ international strategy covering UK, EU and other key international territories.
Buesnel joins from Tysers Insurance Brokers where he served as CEO, before which he was a Senior Partner, Vice Chairman and UK Head of Insurance at Deloitte. Prior to this he was CEO of Jubilee Insurance (a Lloyd’s Managing Agency) and spent ten years at Xchanging, where he was a founding member and Executive Director of its insurance business. Before that Clive held senior positions at Andersen Consulting and Mars, Inc., has worked in the UK, North America, Latin America, France, Germany and Switzerland and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School.
