Gallagher Re, the global reinsurance broker, has appointed the well-respected and widely known industry veteran Kelli Morash as Executive Vice-President in North America, effective immediately. Based in Dallas, Kelli brings more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance and reinsurance sectors and a diverse set of skills to bear on behalf of Gallagher Re’s clients in the US and worldwide.
As a senior sales leader, and part of the newly established NA sales vertical, Kelli will play a key role in driving new business growth by drawing on resource from across Gallagher Re’s various business segments, analytic offerings, and branch offices. The new sales vertical builds on the existing matrix structure of branch and product specialisms overlaid with client advocacy, by introducing regional sales leaders to drive new client sales across their respective regions.
Kelli’s focus on team collaboration will ensure clients and prospective clients receive strategic insight, specialist counsel, and transactional excellence, from across the group, while working closely with her colleagues across Gallagher Re’s 18-strong branch network in North America.
Kelli joins Gallagher Re from Asurion, one of the world’s largest administrators of mobile phone insurance and extended warranty contracts, where she was vice president of underwriting for six years. Before that, Kelli spent five years as a partner at specialist reinsurance broker TigerRisk, where she focused on property catastrophe reinsurance clients. Her previous roles include time working in various lines of business for companies such as Aon Benfield, Partner Re, and Chubb.
