LONDON – 07 March 2023: Connect Underwriting Limited, a specialist reinsurance MGA, today announces the appointment of Ahsan Abdul Majid, who joins its newly launched holding company: ConnectUW Holdings LTD.
Majid has joined as chief commercial officer (CCO) of the company, which has been established as an umbrella /parent company for the group’s expanding insurance entities in the London Market.
Majid previously worked for Gallagher where he was executive vice president, a role with a reinsurance and international business focus. As CCO of ConnectUW Holdings, he will work alongside the group’s chairman and CEO, Jamil Elbahou, to identify and capitalise on commercial and investment opportunities, as well as having a broad business development role for the group in the international markets.
ConnectUW Holdings has been set up to manage the group’s investment strategy, including capital raising and leveraging strategic opportunities and initiatives that support the group’s expansion.
Elbahou said: “Having previously worked with Ahsan, I am extremely pleased to welcome him back to the team. I look forward to working with him to identify new opportunities for the group as we continue to grow the business in the London Market and overseas.”
