ARTes launches integrated crane insurance solution in Australia

ARTes launches integrated crane insurance solution in Australia 150 150 Haggie Partners

ARTes, an MGA specialising in construction and engineering, has launched a new specialist integrated crane insurance solution in Australia, developed in partnership with Mobius Insurance.

Following the successful launch of ARTes’ specialist forestry contractors and contractors plant & equipment products in Australia, the new offering has been specifically designed for crane, rigging and specialised heavy machinery movement operators.

Supported by specialist Lloyd’s capacity, the policy provides a comprehensive single-policy solution covering the full spectrum of crane-related risks. Cover includes material damage up to AUS$15m with up to AUS$10m any one item, alongside business interruption and ‘on hook’ cover. The wording also incorporates riggers’ liability, warehouseman’s legal liability, preservation of property, motor truck cargo and transportation exposures, with liability limits up to AUS$20m for third party property damage, road risk and commercial general liability.

The product is distributed locally through Mobius Insurance, with claims managed, adjusted and settled in Australia by ToPAz Claims Management, specialists in complex heavy machinery, transport and liability claims.

Chris Thomas, CEO of ARTes Specialty, said: “Cranes are at the heart of our business, and our experience in the US market has given us a deep understanding of the risks operators face. This new product brings that expertise to Australia in a way that is both innovative and highly practical.

“By bringing together multiple lines of coverage into a single, tailored policy, we are making it easier for brokers to place business and for clients to secure the protection they need across their operations.”

Tom Richards, Director of Mobius Insurance, added: “This product has been specifically developed to address the real operational and insurance challenges faced by crane and rigging operators in Australia. By combining material damage, transportation, liability and specialist operational covers into one integrated solution, we’re offering brokers and clients a product that is both broader in scope and simpler to place than traditional market offerings.”

The launch reinforces ARTes and Mobius’ shared commitment to developing specialist, sector-led insurance solutions that respond directly to market needs, with further product development planned across the region.

ARTes is managed by Asta, a Davies company.
