Amphitrite Underwriting London (“Amphitrite”), the specialist marine MGA, today announces the appointment of Jack Thompson as war underwriter, effective immediately. Based in London, Thompson will report to Ben Jones and will support the further development of Amphitrite’s marine war offering, delivering responsive and efficient solutions to support the evolving needs of the marine industry.
Thompson brings more than a decade of experience to his role at Amphitrite, starting his career at Markel where he trained as an underwriter. Most recently, Thompson worked as an underwriter at mutual insurance club UK War Risks. Here, he built the book of business to its largest size to date while establishing strong relationships across the maritime industry.
