Monopoli Sigorta Aracılık Hizmetleri A.Ş. (“Monopoli Sigorta”), one of Türkiye’s most established and innovative insurance intermediaries, and Acrisure, a leading global insurance and financial services platform, today announced a strategic partnership through which Monopoli Sigorta will join Acrisure’s international platform. The partnership marks an important milestone both for Monopoli Sigorta and for the broader Turkish insurance intermediary sector. It also represents Acrisure’s first partnership in the Turkish market. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded more than 25 years ago and headquartered in Maslak, Istanbul, Monopoli Sigorta has built a trusted position in the Turkish insurance market through its strong client relationships, diversified corporate and individual portfolio, long-standing partnerships with insurance companies, entrepreneurial culture and innovative approach to insurance intermediation. In 2016, Monopoli Sigorta was among the first Turkish insurance intermediaries to attract institutional private equity capital with the investment of EMF Capital Partners — a chapter that supported the company’s institutional maturity and prepared it for the international stage it now enters.
Through this partnership, Monopoli Sigorta becomes part of Acrisure’s growing international platform, while continuing to operate under its established brand and with the same leadership team. Co-Founders Erol Esentürk (CEO) and İzzet Bonofiyel (COO) will continue to lead Monopoli Sigorta in this new phase, driving growth, partnerships and innovation across the Turkish market, alongside the team that has built the company over the past 25 years.
The partnership brings together Monopoli Sigorta’s local market expertise, trusted relationships and entrepreneurial execution with Acrisure’s global capabilities across insurance, technology, data analytics and international risk advisory. Acrisure’s platform is expected to support Monopoli Sigorta in delivering broader risk insight, enhanced operational capabilities and more sophisticated insurance solutions to its corporate and individual clients, while strengthening its ability to serve insurance company partners through improved data, reporting, operational excellence and AI-supported infrastructure.
