Volante Global, a multi-class, multi-territory international Lloyd’s Syndicate and Managing General Agent (MGA) owned by leading global fintech Acrisure, is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Montanaro as its new Non-Executive Director, effective 1 July, 2025.
Montanaro will bring considerable experience of the London market, Lloyd’s syndicates and the re/insurance industry to support Volante Global’s disciplined underwriting growth ambitions. Working closely with Martin Reith as Chair, Peter will be appointed to the Volante Global group board; and will also Chair the FCA regulated UK entity, Volante International Limited (‘VIL’), subject to regulatory approval. VIL operates as an MGA and is a Lloyd’s approved Service Company, providing delegated underwriting services to both third party providers of insurance capital and Volante’s own Lloyd’s Syndicate 1699.
Joining from Lloyd’s of London, Montanaro will bring more than three decades of London market experience to Volante. His prestigious and pivotal role as the corporation’s Market Oversight Director afforded him responsibility for safeguarding performance, integrity and prudential oversight of the marketplace. He also chaired the Capital Planning Group (CPG), the Lloyd’s committee responsible for the approval of syndicate business plans and capital setting. Montanaro joined Lloyd’s in 2002 as Head of Reinsurance and later became Head of Delegated Authorities in 2007 before moving into his oversight role.
