Chaucer Group (‘Chaucer’), the global specialty (re)insurance group, today announces the appointment of Emily Brand as Deputy Class Underwriter – Energy. Brand will be based in Singapore and report to Scott Ho, effective immediately.
The Energy team in Singapore is led by Scott Ho. Alongside him and Charles Tan, Brand will be responsible for supporting the underwriting strategy for Chaucer’s energy business, expanding Chaucer’s reach in the APAC energy insurance market.
Brand has more than ten years of experience in the insurance industry, working mainly in the marine and energy class of business. She joins from AEGIS where she most recently held the role of Energy Underwriter. Brand joined AEGIS in 2017 as an Underwriting Assistant in the marine and energy market, later being promoted to Assistant Underwriter with a primary focus on Energy. Previously, she held positions at Markel and Lloyd’s.
