Brace Underwriting Limited (“Brace”), a multi-line and alternative risk specialist underwriter backed by Octave Specialty Group Inc., today announces the appointment of Nick Rock as Underwriter, effective immediately. Rock will be based in London and report to Mike Davis, senior underwriter.
At Brace, Rock will continue to build on his strong knowledge of the London market and maintain his form in developing relationships with brokers and coverholders. He will be responsible for underwriting decisions across Brace’s portfolio, ensuring continued growth and a disciplined approach to risk management.
Rock brings with him more than 12 years of industry experience in a variety of roles. He joins Brace from Aspen where he held the role of delegated authority underwriter since 2023, working on a cross-class binder portfolio including property, cyber, casualty and transactional liability. Prior to Aspen, he worked at Tokio Marine Kiln across several analytical capacities. He has also spent time at Guy Carpenter and Travelers.
