BMS, the independent insurance and reinsurance broker, announces the promotion of Kian Wookey to the newly created role of managing director, Bermuda Product Line Development. Based in Bermuda, he will report to Mark Lawson, managing director, North American Direct & Facultative.
Wookey joined BMS in 2019 and held the position of director in the Property team for six years. Prior to this, he held the role of partner at JLT Specialty. Wookey started his career at Lloyd & Partners as a producing broker for US Property business.
In his new role, Wookey will retain his involvement in Property while undertaking a broader remit. This will include implementing BMS’s broader strategy as it diversifies its offering in the region and develops new insurance product lines across the Bermuda platform.
