Insurance Advisory Partners, the investment bank focused exclusively on the insurance, insurance services and the insurtech industry, today announces the appointment of Matthew Morris as Partner in its New York office, effective immediately.
Morris will leverage his extensive industry experience to advise insurance industry clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, strategic transactions and other corporate finance initiatives, helping them pursue opportunities for growth and value creation.
Morris brings more than three decades of insurance and investment banking experience to IAP, having held senior leadership roles across respected financial institutions and insurance companies. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, Insurance Group, Wells Fargo, where he led client coverage across the property and casualty insurance sector and advised on a broad range of M&A, IPO, debt financing and corporate banking transactions.
Prior to Wells Fargo, Morris served as Chief Financial Officer of Vault, the high-growth personal lines insurer focused on high-net-worth individuals and families. There he oversaw all financial functions, including capital management, financial reporting, treasury, investments, reinsurance and financial planning and analysis.
Earlier in his career, Morris was Head of Insurance Advisory at Greenhill, where he built and led cross-border insurance advisory teams across the United States and Europe. He also spent nearly a decade as Managing Director at Willis Towers Watson Securities and more than a decade within the Insurance Group at BofA Securities, advising many of the industry’s leading insurers on strategic transactions and capital raising initiatives.
Morris holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science from Villanova University.
