Richard has 14 years’ experience in journalism and public relations in the insurance and reinsurance market. His editorial background as an award-winning journalist and editor helps clients foster a mutually beneficial working relationship with the media as a key tool in managing their reputations. Damian has more than 15 years’ experience in PR consultancy, including six years at Bell Pottinger Financial (formerly Pelham), where he led the insurance team, and most recently Cairn Communications. Before PR, Damian had a four-year spell as a Lloyd’s insurance broker and then moved to financial journalism in Asia. He has extensive experience in financial PR, corporate positioning and issues management, helping small and large companies and their senior management to stay on or off the financial pages. A chartered accountant and former plc finance director, David founded Haggie Partners in 1986. During his many years in communications David has been involved with companies in virtually every quoted sector from property, technology and engineering through to financial services. He has been at the forefront of insurance sector communications since the early 1990s when corporate capital came into the Lloyd’s market. Email David

Colette graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in theatre and psychology. She has proven experience delivering international B2B/corporate PR campaigns across a variety of sectors, as well as a background in journalism, which has included freelance work for newspapers in the UK. Her ability to build relationships with both national and trade media, strong writing skills, and international background brings a great deal to the Haggie Partners team. Email Collette
Adrian’s career straddles PR, journalism, and academia. Most of his 25+ years writing have been focussed on insurance. He has advised companies from Amlin to Zurich Re. He was News Editor of Insurance Day and Press Officer at the International Underwriting Association. Meanwhile he is Associate Director of the Centre for Financial History, University of Cambridge, and is probably the world’s leading historian of marine insurance. Email Adrian
Michael heads the design side of our business and has over 30 years experience of managing design projects for financial institutions, understanding the unique requirements of City establishments, particular insurers and reinsurers. His work includes corporate identity and company launches, financial and corporate marketing literature, annual reports and corporate websites. Email Michael

As a highly experienced senior personal assistant with several years’ experience already under her belt, Emma’s organisational and communication skills ensures efficient first-line support to the Partners and the team. Prior to Haggie Emma spent seven years at Nordea Bank where she supported the General Manager and the Investment Management team. Previous companies also include Barclays Bank. Connor graduated in 2012 from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a B.A. in English and History. Prior to joining the Haggie team he worked as a Communications Officer for Dublin non-profit The SCOOP Foundation, raising funds for their school building projects in both India and Cambodia. Connor manages social media accounts across our client base, helping to create tailored social media strategies covering a broad range of digital platforms. Email Connor
Emily has a degree from Loughborough University. Prior to joining Haggie, Emily has done internships in Public Relations working with both corporate and consumer clients, helping to develop new angles for proactive media placement. Emily also has experience assisting Public Affairs teams on Government based issues, offering political intelligence and strategic guidance. Whilst studying for her degree at Loughborough, Emily was a member of the GB women’s lacrosse team.
Rowena is responsible for Haggie’s internal operations including finance, administration and the human resource function. Having joined Haggie in 2005 and with over 20 years experience across various sectors including marketing, IT consultancy, property and retail, she has long since accumulated the necessary skills and expertise to ensure that Haggie’s day-to-day processes run smoothly. Brian has an MA in History from University College Dublin and a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from the Fitzwilliam Institute. Since joining Haggie Partners in 2011, Brian has worked with a broad spectrum of companies within the insurance sector, including brokers, Lloyd’s insurers and MGAs. His experience and expertise includes media relations, financial communications and the development and implementation of successful media campaigns both in the UK and internationally. Email Brian
As a broker with Aon for 14 years, Peter has first-hand knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance markets in London, New York and Singapore and the issues the sector faces. Since moving into the communications sector in 1999 he has advised companies on all aspects of financial PR and corporate communications with expertise in corporate activity including M&A and stock market flotations. Chanice is currently studying for a Diploma in Public Relations. She has professional experience in event coordination and the media. Before joining Haggie, she was part of the team who organised the UK’s first educational visit to the headquarters of global giants Google and Microsoft, Silicon Valley, California. Jakub graduated last year from Oxford University with a First Class degree in Classics and English, and went on to complete an MSt in English Literature at Oxford in 2015. Jakub has done internships and freelance work for newspapers both in the UK and abroad, is an excellent communicator, and his writing ability and international experience are proving a crucial addition to the Haggie team.
Gavin graduated from Kent Art College in 2002 and specialises in the design and implementation of both digital and graphic products. Whilst at Haggie, he has led the creation of client websites, apps and social media strategies, including content creation and monitoring. His graphic expertise include the creation of brand logos and all corporate literature ranging from annual reports to company brochures and promotional event giveaways. Samantha graduated with a B.A in History from Nottingham University and has since accumulated over 20 years of experience in corporate communications and journalism in the insurance and financial services industries. Having been based in London, Zurich and Hong Kong, she has a deep understanding of how the global insurance and reinsurance industries work. Before joining Haggie Partners, she was Deputy Head of Global Media Relations at Swiss Re in Zurich and Head of UK Media Relations at Swiss Re in London. She began her career at Lloyd’s of London.
